Double scaffolding.

Double Scaffolding is generally used for stone masonry so, it is also called as mason’s scaffolding. In stone walls, it is hard to make holes in the wall to support putlogs. So, two rows of scaffolding is constructed to make it strong.Double Scaffolding, also known as Independent Scaffolding, is a type of scaffolding used mostly for stone masonry projects. Because it is difficult to drill holes in stone walls to hold the putlogs, two scaffoldings are used combined to produce a solid building structure. The first row is 20 to 30 cm from the wall, while the second row is 1 metre away. Putlogs are positioned with the help of both frames. The structure is strengthened further by the addition of cross braces and rakers.

The first row of standards should be placed 20 to 30 cm from the wall. Transoms and cross braces are installed on the ledgers to make the scaffolding stronger and more robust.
